The More-or-Less Morphing Face Illusion This illusion was a finalist in the 2011 Best Illusion of the Year Contest. Rob van Lier and Arno Koning discovered that when fixating on a moving dot, the morphing of a face can hardly be noticed. However, when the same dot remained stationary, the face morphing was very dramatic.
